SOAP. Is it really safe to use soap in washing your genitals? Advertisements talks about the ph level and how the harsh chemicals on soaps can alter the ph levels of the vagina. The change in ph level can lead to bacterial infection. Ph is the measure of acidity or basicity of a solution. The ph level ranges form 1 to 14. Level 1 means it is very acidic and level 14means it has a base solution. The ph level of our vagina ranges from 3.5 to 7. It is during our pregnancy that our vagina is most acidic. The acidity of our vagina helps to control the growth of bad bacteria. And since soap damages the ph level of the vagina, bacterial growth are encouraged thus it can lead to bacterial infection.
FEMININE WASH. Feminine wash has natural ingredients that will protect and help to maintain the vagina’s natural environment. Most feminine wash has lactoserum and lactic acid. Lactoserum is an ingredient from milk that helps in stabilizing the natural ph level of our vagina. Lactic Acid is very important in keeping the vagina safe from infection. It works to maintain the perfect balance of bad bacteria and good bacteria in the vagina. This acid is produced by the bacteria lactobacilli where its growth is facilitated by lactic acid. That is how important lactic acid is, it is part of the natural cycle of the vagina.
